This page will be updated whenever I get more information about patches.

12-23-09

Event
  • Orca in Storm Pass gives a green event quest to gather 20 Red Socks that can drop anywhere that items drop. Red Socks are 3rd tab items and can be traded. The reward is 5x Sheep Milk Yogurt Make Mintai that buff run speed, attack speed, and cast speed by 5% and phys + magic crit by 10% for 60 seconds. There is probably a followup to this quest.
  • 12-24-09: event packages are up in the cash shop. Costs 24,800 cash. Deal lasts until 16 days from now.
    • A 5-piece holiday avatar set with no level requirement, but fits the level 30 required base avatar set. Comes with
      • Headpiece with the usual headpiece stats
      • Hair with the usual hair stats
      • Chestpiece with a choice of a subclass skill
      • Legpiece with a choice of
        • HP Max +280
        • MP Max +280
        • Phys Defense +660
        • +1 to a basic class skill
      • Boots with the usual boot stats
    • A choice of two pets
      • A physical based pet with 30 Strength, 20 Stamina, 5% Max MP, and 2% Run Speed
      • A magical based pet with 30 Intelligence, 20 Mind, 5% Max MP, and 2% Run Speed
    • A choice between a Cera Item Package and a Contract Item Package. Most likely consists of a random selection of cash shop consumables or cash shop contracts.
Notes
  • Skill preview videos were added back in.

12-18-09

Event
  • As an apology for all the down-time, you can accept a package of 10 tokens, 30 Hands of Remy, and 20 Mana-ade for the price of 100g in the cash shop. One package allowed per account, only applies to one character. Event ends in 11 days.
Notes
  • A new optional torrenting system was implemented to download the full 1.6gb client install. According to maintenance notes, the burden of hosting the client, all the patches, and the game itself was causing stress on all three. If you would like to download and/or help seed the full client, the url to the torrent is: http://df.nexon.com/d_fighter/file/download.php.
  • Preview movies of skills were removed from their descriptions.

12-16-09 a.k.a. 2nd Impact

Events
  • Each account is given the option to create one free level 40 character with a full set of +10 armor and accessories (sans a title), as well as a +12 purple quality weapon all aimed toward the subclass you chose. The gear is bound to the character off the bat. Your skills are chosen for you for whatever reason, so you'll need to use your Bell Set of Lethe to fix this. No quests are completed on these characters. From my experience, these characters cannot participate in War.. at least not as long as this event is going on. Supposedly these characters will be deleted at the end of December.
  • New jar-like items were added that require "Key of Release" sold in the cash shop to open. These chests appear to have a chance to reward you with a random title with a random expiration timer (ranging from 3 days to unlimited). The chests themselves don't seem to have an expiration timer. I've only found one so far, and it was during a town invasion event. It required 4 keys to open, and it gave me 20 HP and 20 MP consumables. The cost of keys is:
    • 150,000 gold for 1
    • 900 cash for 4
    • 2000 cash for 10
    • For two weeks, there is an event deal of 300 cash for 4
  • An event deal for a seven-day, one-time-purchase Contract of Lethe is up for 700 gold (not cash). This is tied to all characters on an account, and as long as the contract is enabled, you can respec your skill points as often as you'd like, but points will be reverted back to how they were before the Contract was purchased once it expires. Another item called "Ticket for Skill Decision" can be purchased for 9,500 cash that finalizes your skill decision made with the Contract of Lethe and removes the contract from your account. The cost of the skill decision ticket isn't an event price.
  • An item called "The Bell Set of Lethe" was given to every character that is one time use and resets that character's skill points. All of these bells will expire 17 days from the day this patch was implemented.
Notes
  • Many skills were tweaked in many ways.. SP costs, MP costs, damage dealt, etc. Too many to list.
  • Base SP earned per level was increased overall. Compensation was given for this change.
  • Stamina now seems to add max HP and HP regen based on how much max HP and HP regen is on your gear and possibly skills/talents. The same goes for Mind and max MP/MP regen. Just as an example, my physical exo with 301 Stamina has 84 HP Max on his chest armor, and from that he gains 335 more HP Max from Stamina. Suddenly, Crusaders.
  • A new skill sub-system was added that uses "TP" instead of "SP". Presumably, TP stands for Talent Points. TP's aren't earned until level 50, nor are talents available until level 50 or higher. I'm guessing you earn one TP per level after 50. TP Reset books can be purchased from Seria for 1,000,000 gold. TP can be spent on:
    • Two "improved" active talents that do not share a cooldown with the skill it's associated with. These are preset talents based on your subclass' skills; you don't get to specify which skill to improve. These talents can cost 2-3 TP per rank, and there are multiple ranks.
    • Six passive talents that improve:
      • Four of your class' (not subclass'; in other words.. Gunner, Ghost Knight, etc.) skills; one per subclass tree. 1 TP per rank per talent
      • Two of your subclass' skills. 1-2 TP per rank per talent
    • Base stats that include:
      • 25 Strength, Intelligence, Stamina, or Mind. 1 TP per rank
      • 1% Hit Rate or Dodge. 1 TP per rank
      • HP regen or MP regen. I need to translate the numbers. 1 TP per rank
      • 3 Elemental Resistance Pierce (which is essentially the opposite, offensive effect of Elemental Resistance). 1 TP per rank
      • 5 Elemental Resistance. 1 TP per rank
  • A new passive skill in the general skills tree was added that increases on its own, one rank per character level. Increases basic attack, jump attack, and dash attack damage.
  • Level cap was raised to 70.
  • With a trainer's window open, skill descriptions will show mini-videos similar to the ones shown in the level 18 class changing quests. These only appear if the detailed view of skills is toggled off.
  • There is a new page of quests in the quest log that might be a list of all the quests in the game that you can complete but haven't, even if you haven't completed their prerequisites.
  • A "Practice Mode" was implemented that doesn't use stress, cubes, or coins, but also doesn't reward experience, items, or higher roads.

More to come...
